Vehicle Overturns In Vienna Drunk Driving Crash: Police

Police charged a driver with DWI after he allegedly hit a parked car at a high speed.

VIENNA, VA—Vienna Police charged an alleged drunk driver after his vehicle overturned Thursday, Feb. 28.

Officers and rescue personnel responded to the 200 block of Cedar Lane Southeast around 11:47 p.m. for a crash in a parking lot. Police say the driver struck an unoccupied parked vehicle at a high speed in the Cedar Lane Apartments parking lot. The driver's car overturned as a result.

An officer who spoke to the driver found signs of impairment. The officer issued a summons for driving while intoxicated to the driver, a 22-year-old man from Silver Spring, Md.

The driver was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital. No one else was involved in the crash.

Officers responded to the report of an open door at the snack bar at Glyndon Park. The door appeared to have been damaged as a result of forced entry into the snack bar.

Juvenile Case 19-002299

200 Block Cedar Lane, SE
March 5 10:56 a.m.
Officers confirmed that a teenage juvenile resident, who was reported as missing to Loudoun County authorities on Saturday, had returned home safely.

Arrest – Fraud 19-002307

700 Block Ninovan Road, SE
March 5 3:00 p.m.
A resident reported that someone used one of his credit accounts to make unauthorized purchases. The purchases were being delivered to the resident, who advised the delivery man he had not placed the order.
Police detectives used the phone number on the invoice to arrange for the suspect to pick up the
fraudulently purchased property in the rear lot of a shopping center.
When the man arrived at the shopping center, he was placed under arrest. Ofc. Gucwa transported the 22-year-old man from Muirkirk Road in Laurel, Maryland to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Credit Card Fraud and Credit Card Larceny
