Vehicle Stolen From Parking Lot: Vienna Crime Report

Vienna Police responded to a theft from a customer inside a business and other incidents.

Vienna Police responded to a variety of incidents reported the week of Dec. 21-27, from a crash involving a pedestrian to a car stolen from a parking lot.

We've rounded up the most notable incidents below. An arrest does not always mean police took someone into custody. An arrested individual is not automatically guilty of a crime.

Crash - Kingsley Road and Ware Street, SW 18-010351
December 18 3:31 p.m.
Pedestrian-1 was in the crosswalk traveling northbound on Ware Street, crossing Kingsley Road. Vehicle1 was traveling westbound on Kingsley Road. After stopping at the stop sign for Ware Street, Driver-1 proceeded into the intersection where her bumper struck Pedestrian-1, causing very minor injury.

Café Amouri
107 Church Street, NE
December 20 between 3:45 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
A citizen reported her wallet was stolen while she was at Café Amouri. One of her cards was then used to make unauthorized purchases.

Suspicious Event 18-010472

500 Block Kingsley Road, SW
December 21 between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
A resident advised someone took his son’s mail and entered his shed. The mail was found opened and strewn around the shed floor.

Burglary 18-010533

December 23 10:41 p.m.
An employee reported that an unknown person smashed out the front glass door and entered the business. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

Stolen Vehicle-18-010564

7-11
537 Maple Avenue, West
December 26 2:27 a.m.
A citizen left their vehicle parked in a parking space closest to Maple Avenue with the engine running while they went into the 7-11. When they returned to the vehicle, they found it had been stolen.
