Vienna 2021 Holiday Decorating Contest Winners Named

VIENNA, VA — Every year, the Town of Vienna Business Liaison Committee and Parks and Recreation host a decorating contest for homes and businesses. Winners of the 2021 contest were announced Friday after a public vote and judges' decision.

Casmar Street Lights at 121 Casmar Street SE won the people's choice for best decorated home for the second straight year. This display since 2021 has delighted viewers with a lineup of songs synchronized to lights. The display is held nightly through Dec. 31 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., or until 11 p.m. on some Fridays and Saturdays.

The second place winner for best decorated home was 9602 Counsellor Drive, and third place was 301 Talahi Road SE.

The business category was judged by the Town Business Liaison Committee, and there was a people's choice for best decorated business. The people's choice award went to Vienna Pet Spaw at 101 Church Street NW. The judges' choices were Vienna Rexall Drug Center at 150 Maple Avenue W in first place, Karin's Florist at 527 Maple Avenue E in second place, and Trouseeau at 306 Maple Avenue W in third place.

The winning business receives one volunteer hour from Mayor Linda Colbert as a guest employee. Winning homes receive a Town of Vienna holiday ornament and gift card from a local business.

Voting was open from Dec. 8 to 16 following a nominations process. Residents can continue to visit all the nominated homes to enjoy the variety of holiday displays.
