Vienna 2023 Holiday Decorating Contest Nominees Announced

VIENNA, VA — It's that time of year to check out what holiday displays your neighbors have been putting up around town. Nominees for the Shine Bright Vienna Holiday Decorating Contest have been announced, and the public can vote for their favorite decorated home and business.

The annual Shine Bright Vienna Holiday Decorating Contest is open to residents and businesses in the Town of Vienna. Nominations for decorated homes and businesses were accepted through Nov. 21, and public voting is open until 12 p.m. on Dec. 8.

The winning business receives a volunteer hour from Mayor Linda Colbert as a guest employee. Winning residents receive a Town of Vienna holiday ornament and a gift card from a local business.

Winners will be announced at the Town of Vienna's Holiday Reception from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 8 at Town Hall, 127 Center St S, Vienna, VA.

A map of nominated displays has been released so residents can take a tour of the displays. Homes outside Town of Vienna limits are included on the map but are not eligible for contest prizes. Nominees that include Vienna Elementary School in their displays in honor of the school's 150th anniversary have a special designation on the map and are eligible for bonus points in the contest.

The annual holiday contest is held by the Town Business Liaison Committee and Vienna Parks and Recreation.
