Vienna Babe Ruth Announces Annual Meeting
Vienna Babe Ruth Plans Annual Membership Meeting on Monday, Dec. 1st From: Jeff Smith, Publicity Director, GVBRL
The Annual Membership Meeting of the Greater Vienna Babe Ruth League (GVBRL) will be held on Monday evening, December 1st, 2014, in the Vienna Community Center. Everyone with an interest in Babe Ruth baseball is invited. This includes parents of all players, current or prospective, including those aging up from Little League.
The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm with a social / open house that will provide everyone the opportunity to meet the members of the present Board of Directors, as well as coaches and other officials. Refreshments will be served. The Annual Membership Meeting will then follow at 8:00 pm. It will include the formal introduction of the present members of the Board, candidates for positions on the Board, and the election of officers for 2015. We will then review the league’s accomplishments from 2014, and plans for the coming year.
Youth sport leagues can only survive with the enthusiastic help of volunteers. If you are interested in serving on the Board or volunteering in any way, we would be grateful for your help. We are looking for help with Special Projects, a new Snack Bar Coordinator and a new Scheduler.
