Vienna-Based Company Makes 2019 Best Place To Work List

VIENNA, VA—Vienna can claim the one of the best places to work in the U.S., according to a new ranking by Fortune. Fortune named Vienna-based Navy Federal Credit Union 29th among the 100 Best Companies to Work For 2019 list.

To determine the rankings, Fortune conducted an ongoing workforce study, asking employees 60 survey questions. The majority of questions emphasize employees' trust in their company and whether they can reach their full potential. Companies considered for the ranking had to complete an application detailing their HR programs and practices.

Tysons-based Hilton claimed the number one spot. Hilton, which employs over 62,000 people, was ranked 33rd last year. Fortune says the company has made a number of improvements for employees, from more comfortable uniforms to a free program to earn a GED.
