Easter Egg Hunts: Egg Roll, More Upcoming Events Around Vienna

VIENNA, VA — Egg hunts and other Easter events are rolling into Vienna, starting with the Historic Easter Egg Roll on April 1.

The Historic Egg Roll will be hosted at the Freeman Store and Museum, 131 Church Street NE, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Families and children 12 and under are invited to join for an old-fashioned egg roll, games, story time and more. The event is held by Historic Vienna, Inc. with the Town of Vienna.

Another April 1 event brings the Easter Fun to the nighttime. The Family Flashlight Egg Hunt will be held at 8 p.m. in Glyndon Park, 300 Glyndon Street NE, challenging participants will search for eggs and prizes in the dark. The Easter Bunny will be on site for visits before the egg hunt begins. The event is already sold out.

Head out of town limits to Meadowlark Botanical Gardens for another egg hunt option. Easter Egg Hunts in the Gardens will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13 at 9750 Meadowlark Gardens Court. Children will pick up an Easter Egg Fun Find Sheet to use as they search the park for special eggs. As they find eggs, they will track them on their sheet and turn the sheet in for goodie bags full of Easter eggs. The fee to participate is $8 and includes a child's garden admission and goodie bag of Easter eggs. Payment is only available at the door.

On Easter Sunday, April 17, head to the Vienna Town Green at 10:15 a.m. for a free Easter egg hunt hosted by Vienna Presbyterian Church. Children can search for eggs while families enjoy coffee and pastries and take photos in photo booths. The event is for toddlers to sixth grade. Children should bring their own baskets.

One other Easter activity is the traditional visit and photos with the Easter Bunny at Tysons Corner Center. The Easter Bunny will be at the mall's Fashion Court through April 16. Pet photos will be available on March 21, March 28, and April 4, and a sensory-friendly event is planned April 3.
