Vienna Idol Returns, for a Good Cause: Auditions Begin Thursday
Benefit for the Khristin Kyllo memorial fund seeks to top last year's outpouring of generosity and support.
Sponsored by Caffe Amouri and Whole Foods Vienna, Vienna Idol will begin qualifying round auditions on Thursday, April 10 at Whole Foods in Vienna and continue through the month of May with twice weekly auditions at Whole Foods and Caffe Amouri. The full audition schedule is available at: Vienna Idol
Vienna Idol 2013 raised more than $15,000 for the Khristin Kyllo Memorial Fund — enough to fund scholarships for worthy local students who otherwise might not have had the ability to attend college as well as to help fund continuing research into S.U.D.E.P – Sudden Unexpected Death from Epilepsy.
The fundraiser is in honor of Khristin Kyllo, the 18-year-old rising softball star at Princeton University who died unexpectedly in 2011 in her dorm room. The scholarships honor the Madison High School alumna "with a heart of gold and a million dollar smile."
