Vienna Mayor And Council Candidates Unopposed In 2018 Elections
Plus, Republicans and all voters in the 10th congressional district will cast ballots in the June primary election.

Town of Vienna residents will vote in the election for mayor and several Town Council seats on Tuesday, May 1.
Mayor Laurie DiRocco and three incumbent councilmembers—Linda Colbert, Pasha Majdi, and Douglas Noble—are running unopposed. No other candidates qualified to be on the ballot.
Town of Vienna residents registered to vote can cast ballots from 6 a.m.-7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry Street SE. An acceptable form of photo identification is required to vote.

Meanwhile, statewide elections will happen on June 12 if there are multiple challengers in a political party. In Fairfax County, Republicans will choose a challenger to Sen. Tim Kaine for the Nov. 6 general election. There will be no Democratic primary for the Senate race, as Kaine runs unopposed in his party.
The only primary for U.S. House of Representatives races in Fairfax County is in the 10th congressional district, represented by Rep. Barbara Comstock. Voters can cast either a Democratic or Republican ballot. Residents can participate either the Republican or Democratic primaries, as Virginia does not register voters by party.

The voter registration deadline for the June 12 primary is Monday, May 21. Absentee voting begins Friday, April 27.
