All-Clear Tuesday at Vienna Middle School After Gas Odor Prompts Evacuation

Kilmer Middle School in Vienna was evacuated Tuesday morning due to the smell of gas.

A malfunctioning HVAC unit created a smell of gas that prompted an evacuation Tuesday morning at Kilmer Middle School, according to a spokesman for Fairfax County Public Schools.

The building was evacuated for a brief time, but students returned to the building after it was inspected by authorities from Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.
