Vienna Residents Open Virginia Tire & Auto Store

VIENNA, VA—A Vienna couple has opened a flagship Virginia Tire & Auto location in Vienna.

The family-owned business run by Mike and Julie Holmes, has been operating for more than 40 years. The store at 141 Maple Avenue West in Vienna is the 15th Virginia Tire & Auto location in Northern Virginia.

The new Vienna location provides full-service automotive maintenance, repair and tire services. The location has ASE-certified technicians working on nine vehicle bays. Customers have access to loaner cars, as well as a customer shuttle and a waiting room with Wi-Fi, drinks, snacks and a kids play area.

While Virginia Tire & Auto just arrived in Vienna, the owners have history doing business in town.

"Bringing Virginia Tire & Auto to Vienna has been many years in the making," says Virginia Tire & Auto President Julie Holmes. "Previously, we operated James Madison Shell in Vienna for about 20 years and made the difficult decision to sell in 2015, so we could focus on our core business—taking the stress out of car care through our larger format facilities."

The company's CEO, Mike Holmes, is a longtime Vienna resident. He first came to town in 1986 when his Navy pilot father was stationed in the area. Holmes graduated from James Madison High School. He, his wife Julie, their five children and his parents live in Vienna today.

"We’re thrilled to do our part to beautify Maple Avenue by opening a modern, new car care facility in the heart of our community," says Julie Holmes.

The company's other locations are in Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William and Chesterfield counties. Operating hours for the Vienna store are Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
