Vienna Summer Concerts, Movies Planned On Town Green

VIENNA, VA — Free musical performances and movies will return to the Town Green in Vienna for families to enjoy this summer.

The Town of Vienna's Summer on the Green concert series will be held on select Fridays June through August. The Big Screen on the Green is planned on three Thursdays in June, July and August.

The free summer concerts, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Vienna, begin at 6:30 p.m. and last about 90 minutes. Select performances will be part of Chillin' on Church, the monthly block parties on June 17, July 15, Aug. 19 and Sept. 16.

Performances represent a variety of musical genres. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket but keep pets and alcohol at home.

• June 3: US Navy Band Cruisers
• June 8: Vienna Moms Inc. presents Rocknoceros
• June 10: Shenandoah Run
• June 17: Chillin' on Church featuring Big Bad JuJu
• June 24: Nowhere Men
• July 8: Fat Chance
• July 15: Chillin' on Church featuring Ocho De Bastos
• July 22: Children's Theatre Performance: Something Different
• July 24: Vienna Community Band and Friends
• July 29: The Hot Lanes
• Aug. 5: Sarah Bennett Swanner Band
• Aug. 12: TBA
• Aug. 19: Chillin' on Church featuring Deja Gruv Band
• Sept. 16: Chillin' on Church featuring Texas Chainsaw Horns

Free movies on the Town Green will be held at 8:30 p.m. on June 9, July 14 and Aug. 11. Free water and popcorn will be available as supplies last. The series is sponsored by Navy Federal Credit Union.
