Vienna Youth Players Present “Guys and Dolls”

Broadway comes to Vienna this summer with the Vienna Youth Players’ production of “Guys and Dolls.”

The curtain opens on Saturday, July 18, at 7 p.m. at the Vienna Community Center, setting the stage for a series of high-energy musical comedy performances.

Featuring a talented local cast and crew of performers ages 10 to 18, “Guys and Dolls” brings 1950s New York City to life as an entertaining mix of lovable gamblers and determined missionaries take big bets on love and luck. Audiences can look forward to iconic tunes, including “Luck Be a Lady” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat.”

Community members will have multiple opportunities to see the show at the Vienna Community Center, located at 120 Cherry St., SE, Vienna, Va. Evening performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on July 18, 23, 24, 25, and special Sunday matinee performances will take place at 2 p.m. on July 19 and 26.

Tickets are $18 each. Audiences can secure their seats in advance by purchasing tickets online at viennava.gov/theatre or in person at the Vienna Community Center. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door prior to showtime, depending on availability.

“Guys and Dolls” is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
