Vienna's Summer On The Green: Schedule For 2019

VIENNA, VA—The Town Green in Vienna will transform into an outdoor concert venue every Friday this summer. The Town of Vienna and Rotary Club of Vienna are co-sponsoring the annual Summer on the Green concert series Fridays from June 7 to Aug. 23. Three special concerts will be held on other days of the week, and an additional performance will happen on Friday, Sept. 20.

The series kicks off with Vienna Idol on June 7 and wraps up on Sept. 20 with a Chillin’ on Church block party performance by Hard Swimmin’ Fish. The free concerts begin at 6:30 p.m.

• Wednesday, June 12: Rocnocerous (sponsored by Vienna Moms, Inc.)
• June 14: Nowhere Man (acoustic Beatles tribute band)
• June 21: Chillin’ on Church: The Deja Gruv Band (R&B, funk, and soul)
• June 28: Sarah Bennet Swanner (country and blues covers)
• July 5: U.S. Navy Band: Commodores (big band jazz)
• Sunday, July 7: U.S. Navy Band: Country Current (blue grass)
• July 12: Fat Chance (rock)
• July 19: Chillin’ on Church: Mudlark (classic rock and blues)
• Sunday, July 21: Vienna Community Band
• July 26: U.S. Army Band: Swamp Romp (Louisiana jazz and folk)
• Aug. 2: The Rockits (rock and Motown)
• Aug. 9: Shenandoah Run (folk)
• Aug. 16: Chillin’ on Church: Big Bad JuJu (rock and dance covers)
• Aug. 23: Wayne Tympanick Trio (jazz)
• Sept. 20: Chillin’ on Church: Hard Swimmin’ Fish (funk-infused blues)
