Volunteering to Make a Difference

Volunteer teachers work with adult immigrants learning English.

Vienna Presbyterian Church's "English for Speakers of Other Languages" (ESOL) program is looking for a few volunteers to teach and assist adult students in learning English on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Students, led by volunteer teachers, spend nine months speaking, listening, reading and writing in English. They share their stories and lives with their classmates and they build a bond that is just as valuable as the English skills they develop.

The ESOL 2017/2018 school year will begin September 13th. Classes are taught in English, and teaching experience is not required. We provide training and support for teachers and staff two teachers for each class.
