Watch Harry Potter At Wolf Trap—With Live Music

What better way to watch Harry Potter than under the stars accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra?

VIENNA, VA—Harry Potter fans recently marked the 20th year since the first book, the Sorcerer's Stone, came out. From the first book to a complete movie series, J.K. Rowling's story has touched millions across the world.

But the celebration's not over yet, at least in DC. Local residents can relive the magical story they fell in love with this weekend at a performance under the stars.

Wolf Trap is hosting a Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone screening on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, July 8 at 8:30 p.m. with live music from the National Symphony Orchestra. That means throughout the film, the orchestra will perform the memorable music composed by John Williams.

Plus, early arrivers get another treat. On Friday, there will be a discussion on the performance one hour before it starts on the Old Farmhouse Lawn. Panelists will be Tolonda Henderson, George Washington University's Harry Potter Scholar and Emil de Cou, the orchestra's conductor.

Saturday's performance includes a Quidditch match at 7:30 p.m. with the Washington Admirals Major Lead Quidditch team. It will be held on the Meadow just north of the Filene Center. Attendees can watch for free on Meadow Hill.

Tickets range from $35-$58. Get tickets and more information here.
