Water Main Project To Impact Vienna Road For Months
The upcoming week marks the start of a water main project and a few days of overnight work for Vienna Market.
VIENNA, VA — A months-long water main replacement project will kick off on Sept. 10 in the Town of Vienna. The project will happen in phases on Old Courthouse Road between the town line (near Freedom Hill Park and Fairway Drive NE.
Work will generally happen from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first phase will involve crews laying sections of new water main pipe for about two months. This will require a full lane closure along Old Courthouse Road with flaggers.
Phase two involves reinstalling individual water services for a month beginning in mid-November. The impacted area will be smaller and involve flaggers. Pavement restoration, the last phase of the project, is expected to take one week in early December. A full lane closure on Old Courthouse Road and flaggers will be required.

Residents impacted by water service disruptions will receive direct communications from the Town of Vienna.
The other project for this upcoming week involves a new water line installation for the Vienna Market redevelopment at 245 Maple Avenue West. The work will happen between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Sept. 9 through 12. Lane closures will be required.
