What's Open For 2022 Easter Holiday Weekend In Vienna

VIENNA, VA — Whether you celebrate the Christian holiday of Easter, the Jewish holiday of Passover, the two holidays will overlap during the weekend of April 16-17. As the Easter holiday falls on a Sunday, closures may be limited.

Town of Vienna and Fairfax County government does not typically close for Good Friday before Easter. However, there are a few service changes for services that do operate on Sundays.

Here are the changes for the Easter holiday:

• Fairfax County recreation centers: Closed on Sunday, April 17.
• Fairfax County Public Library: All library locations are closed on Sunday, April 17.
• Colvin Run Mill: Open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 17
• Metro: Metrorail has increased service the weekend of April 16 and 17 due to cherry blossom season. Metrorail be open at 7 a.m., and close at 1 a.m. Saturday and midnight Sunday. On the Blue, Orange and Silver Lines, trains run every 20 minutes. On Saturday, trains will bypass the Capital South station. from opening to no later than 7 p.m. Yellow Line trains run every 20 minutes. See more details about weekend service.

• The Fresh Market: 150 Branch Road SE Vienna, VA 22180. Hours: Open 8 a.m.-9 p.m.
• Safeway: 3043 Nutley St SW, Fairfax, VA 22031. Hours: 24 hours.
