What's Open, Closed For Memorial Day 2024 In Vienna

VIENNA, VA — The unofficial start of summer kicks off with Memorial Day weekend. In Vienna and the rest of Fairfax County, government facilities and offices will close.

The long holiday weekend is a time families reflect on American military servicemembers who died in the line of duty. It is also a time to enjoy summer festivities like beach trips, barbecues and more.

For anyone who is looking for other information about Memorial Day openings and closings, here's a list of relevant information for Vienna:

• Town of Vienna government offices: Closed on May 27.
• Fairfax County government offices: Closed on May 27.
• State courts: The Fairfax County Circuit Court, General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court will be closed May 27.
• Fairfax County Public Schools: Schools and offices are closed on May 27.
• Community centers: The Vienna Community Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with special open gym hours.
• Department of Motor Vehicles: The Virginia DMV offices are closed on May 27.
• Fairfax Connector: Fairfax Connector will operate Sunday service on May 27.
