What's Open, Closed For Memorial Day 2024 In Vienna
Services will be closed or adjusted for the Memorial Day holiday around Vienna as residents take time to reflect.

VIENNA, VA — The unofficial start of summer kicks off with Memorial Day weekend. In Vienna and the rest of Fairfax County, government facilities and offices will close.
The long holiday weekend is a time families reflect on American military servicemembers who died in the line of duty. It is also a time to enjoy summer festivities like beach trips, barbecues and more.

For anyone who is looking for other information about Memorial Day openings and closings, here's a list of relevant information for Vienna:
- Town of Vienna government offices: Closed on May 27.
- Fairfax County government offices: Closed on May 27.
- State courts: The Fairfax County Circuit Court, General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court will be closed May 27.
- Fairfax County Public Schools: Schools and offices are closed on May 27.
- Community centers: The Vienna Community Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with special open gym hours.
- Department of Motor Vehicles: The Virginia DMV offices are closed on May 27.
- Fairfax Connector: Fairfax Connector will operate Sunday service on May 27. Routes running on Sunday are: 101, 109, 151, 152, 161, 162, 171, 310, 321, 322, 371, 401, 402, 423, 463, 467, 558, 574, 605, 615, 630, 640, 650, 721, 803, 901, 921, 924, 937, 950, 952, 954, 983, RIBS 1, RIBS 2, RIBS 3, RIBS 4 and RIBS 5. - Library: Fairfax County Public Library locations will be closed on May 27.
- Metro: Metrorail will 7 a.m. and close at midnight on May 27. Metrobus will operate on a Sunday schedule. On the Blue and Silver Lines, free shuttle buses replace trains between Addison Road and Downtown Largo. Morgan Boulevard and Downtown Largo stations are closed. - Post offices: Closed on May 27.
- Rec centers and park authority: Most Fairfax County Recreation Centers and parks are open, and the Colvin Run Mill and Sully Historic Sites are closed on May 27.
- Trash and recycling: Town of Vienna has regular trash collection on May 27. For county collection customers, regular trash and recycling collection will happen on May 27. Private collection customers should check schedule changes with their provider.
- Trash and recycling centers: The Recycling and Disposal Centers at the I-66 Transfer Station (4618 West Ox Road) and the I-95 Landfill Complex (9850 Furnace Road) are open regular hours on May 27.
