Wolf Trap 2017 Summer Lineup Adds Sting, Wilco

VIENNA, VA — One of the coolest places either to plop down on blanket or an actual seat and watch a concert or any other performance has recently announced new acts for its 2017 summer season. We're talking about the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts (Wolf Trap, as locals know it), 1645 Trap Road.

Hello, Sting. Hello, Wilco. Hello, Lionel Richie. And say hello to a special tribute to Jimi Hendrix on what would have been his 75th birthday and is the 50th anniversary of his D.C. debut.

Among the other new additions to the summer season are Chris Isaak, YES and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly with the O'Jays.

Wolf Trap more or less opened in 1966 after 100 acres of farm land was donated by Catherine Filene Shouse to the National Park Service. It's a laid-back atmosphere unlike any other in the D.C. area. Folks are welcome to bring along their own food and their own spirits, and there also are concession booths that provide both.

Ticketing and On-Sale Information

• Tickets for newly announced performances go on sale to the public on Saturday, April 22 at 10:00 a.m. Member (donor) presales for newly announced shows begin Monday, April 17.
• Tickets for previously announced performances are on sale now. Pricing varies by performance and seat location. See performance listings at wolftrap.org or the calendar for individual show prices.
