The 17-week summer season at the 7,028-seat Filene Center is made possible through a public-private partnership between the nonprofit Wolf Trap Foundation and the National Park Service, which celebrates its centennial throughout 2016.
“As the only national park for the performing arts, it is Wolf Trap’s obligation and honor to celebrate the role that music and the arts have in our cultural story. As we celebrate the Centennial of the National Park Service, it seems fitting that Wolf Trap’s summer 2016 features a monumental lineup,” said Arvind Manocha, president and CEO of Wolf Trap Foundation.
“Many of the artists who define American performing arts today are joining in the season-long celebration – Paul Simon, American Ballet Theatre, Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma and Sufjan Stevens. The lineup is as beautiful, diverse, and monumental as our national parks and our nation.”
