Wolf Trap's Holiday Sing-A-Long To Be Held In Virtual Format In 2021
The Holiday Sing-A-Long, a tradition since 1968, will feature two unique performances released on two dates.

VIENNA, VA — Wolf Trap's Holiday Sing-A-Long, a popular annual tradition, will be held in a virtual format for a second consecutive year.
The Wolf Trap Holiday Sing-A-Long From Home will be held on two nights — Dec. 4 and 18 — each featuring pre-recorded video performances. Each night will feature different special guests and songs. The shows will be free and available to view throughout the winter holidays.
The shows will combine holiday classics with new additions from 2021 Barns at Wolf Trap performers. The Dec. 4 show will feature special holiday performances by local rockers Pat McGee Band, classical musicians David Finckel & Wu Han, and Broadway stage and screen star Laura Benanti. The Dec. 18 show will feature unique songs from country sensation Rodney Crowell, cabaret star Storm Large, and Broadway’s John Lloyd Young.

Both nights will feature favorite sing-a-long holiday songs led by Colonel Jason K. Fettig (director) Master Gunnery Sergeant Kevin Bennear (baritone) and Gunnery Sergeant Sara Sheffield (mezzo-soprano), from The President’s Own United States Marine Band. Viewers can follow the "bouncing ball" captioning for the sing-a-long songs.
The longtime holiday tradition was started in 1968 by Wolf Trap founder Catherine Filene Shouse. For the first event, she invited local choirs to her home to sing carols and to share in holiday cheer.
