ZZ Top And John Fogerty Added To Wolf Trap Summer Lineup

John Fogerty and ZZ Top announced Vienna as a two-day stop on their upcoming summer tour.

VIENNA, VA—Classic rock fans, rejoice. John Fogerty and ZZ Top has announced Wolf Trap will be a stop on their upcoming tour, joining a lineup of iconic names coming to Vienna this summer. The concerts are set for May 29 and 30 at 7 p.m., the two days after Memorial Day.

The two Rock and Roll Hall of Fame icons will embark on their tour in May, the artists announced Monday. Both Fogerty and ZZ Top last performed at Wolf Trap in 2015.

Fogerty in a statement, “ZZ Top is one of my favorite bands, and Billy F Gibbons is one of my all-time favorite guitarists. Riffs, blues and bayous... bucket list!” ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons added, “John Fogerty along with ZZ Top have been followers of blues and rock since the beginning and we’re looking forward to rippin’ it up together this spring.We’ve got a great show lined up for ya’!”

Fogerty is best known as the lead singer, lead guitarist and main songwriter of Creedence Clearwater Revival from 1967 to 1972. Since then, he has had a successful career as a solo artist. Expect Fogerty to bring back CCR hits like "Fortunate Son" and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain."

ZZ Top have been performing their repertoire of boogie rock-blues since 1969. The original lineup of Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard will keep you rocking all night to hits like “La Grange,” "Gimme All Your Lovin'" and “Sharp Dressed Man.”

The pair of performers join numerous other rock legends for the summer Wolf Trap lineup, including The Who's Roger Daltrey performing the "Tommy" album and Jethro Tull's 50th anniversary tour.
