Dog Found 'Frozen Solid' On Toledo Home's Porch
Utilities were turned off, the dogs' owner said, but he was caring for the dogs while living elsewhere.
TOLEDO, OH — Animal cruelty investigators said they found a dog "frozen solid" at a home in Toledo's Onyx neighborhood as a severe cold snap makes its way through the Midwest. Toledo humane society investigator Megan Brown told The Blade newspaper the amount of time the dog was left outside on Thursday remains unknown.
The home is on the 1000 block of King Street. The National Weather Service said Toledo saw temperatures in the low teens throughout Thursday. A second dog was also found shivering inside the home.
Utilities were turned off, the dogs' owner said, but he was caring for the dogs while living elsewhere. He said he didn't know how one of the dogs was able to get on the porch.
