Jury Indicts Teacher Caught In Child Sex Sting By NoVa Cop
A federal grand jury has indicted a former Maryland middle school teacher caught in a child sex sting for facility of interstate commerce to attempt to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity. Kenneth Brian Fischer, 39, who formerly received a statewide "Teacher of the Year" honor, had been caught in an online chat by a Fairfax County undercover detective posing as a minor.

Fugitive Shot And Killed By ICE Officer In Dumfries: Police
A fugitive was shot and killed Friday after trying to flee from authorities at a Days Inn on Old Stage Road, according to Prince William County Police. Mario Dantoni Bass, 37, of the 15700 block of Tassleford Lane in Woodbridge, was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

If you were watching a recent Jeopardy! episode, you may have noticed a certain planned community come up in the clue. Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer tweeted a screenshot of the clue, which read: "Swift water rescue teams frequently visit the Great Falls area of this river between Reston & Bethesda."
