18-Year-Old Charged In Connection With Cheshire Station Homicide In Woodbridge: Police

An 18-year-old man from Woodbridge has been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting death of another teen in June, police said.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — An 18-year-old man faces homicide and other charges in connection with the June 14 shooting death of a 19-year-old at Cheshire Station in Dale City, Prince William County Police said.

Last month, authorities identified the victim as 19-year-old David Madison Fowler III, a Woodbridge resident.

On Thursday, the Prince William County Police Department said detectives had identified Angel Alfonso Morales Flores as a suspect. The 18-year-old from Woodbridge turned himself in to police on Wednesday.

Morales Flores is charged with felony homicide, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and conspiracy to violate the drug control act, the police department said in a report.

He is being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center. His next court date is scheduled for Sept. 22.

No other injuries were reported in the shooting.

The shooting occurred around 2 p.m. on June 14 in the 4400 block of Cheshire Station Plaza. In a police report, investigators said the victim and an acquaintance agreed to meet three men to conduct a transaction.

During the encounter, one of the other men fired multiple gunshots which hit the victim in the upper body, police said in their initial report. The suspects then drove away in a light-colored vehicle before police arrived at the scene.

Police officers and bystanders provided first aid until rescue personnel arrived and took the victim to the hospital.

Officers said they found cartridge casings and two firearms when they searched the area. No other injuries or property damage was reported.

In a report on Thursday, the police department said detectives are still working to identify other suspects connected to the shooting.
