27-Year-Old Killed In Woodbridge Shooting, Police Search For Suspects
Police in Prince William County are still looking for whoever fired gunshots into a group of people on Monday, killing a 27-year-old.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two men were shot in Woodbridge on Monday evening, the Prince William County Police Department said. Investigators are still working to identify the people responsible for the shooting.
One man, 27-year-old Akeem Rashaud Williams, died from injuries he suffered in the shooting. Another man, who police identified as a 22-year-old, is expected to recover from his gunshot wounds.
The police department has not identified any suspects in connection with the shooting. Authorities did not provide any suspect description on Tuesday.

The shooting occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Monday in the 13900 block of Richmond Highway in Woodbridge. Investigators said a group of people were gathered in the area when somebody fired gunshots into the group and hit the two victims. The gunshots also hit a vehicle that was driving on Richmond Highway, though the driver was not injured, police said.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found the 22-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound and called an ambulance to take him to the hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said.

Security officers at a shopping center nearby found the second victim, the police department said. An ambulance took him to the hospital, where he later died.
A police K-9 searched the area, but they were not able to find anybody else who was involved in the shooting.
