Belmont Bay Rehab & Healthcare Celebrates National Skilled Nursing Care Week in Style

Belmont Bay Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Woodbridge kicked off National Skilled Nursing Care Week in style with the help of County Supervisor Jeannie LaCroix. This year’s “Moments in Bloom” theme emphasizes how everyday acts of compassion, connection and teamwork grow into meaningful experiences for all.

During the festivities, Supervisor LaCroix presented Belmont Bay with a Proclamation for the center’s commitment to quality services for those in their care, and she met with residents and staff members and helped in serving refreshments. To thank Supervisor LaCroix, Belmont Bay Resident Council President Edna Mitchell gave her a lovely bouquet. The event featured colorful decorations, music and cake.

Celebrated annually in May, National Skilled Nursing Care Week recognizes the essential role of skilled nursing centers in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities. It was established by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) in 1967 and follows National Nurses Week.
