Double Homicide Reported In Woodbridge Apartment: Police

The Prince William County Police Department is investigating after two men died of gunshot wounds in a Woodbridge apartment on Sunday.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two men died of gunshot wounds in a Woodbridge apartment on Sunday afternoon, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities identified the men as Malik Xavier Lamar Davis and Christian Jamar Roberts.

Police were called to the Woodbridge Station apartments on Mary's Way around 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. A resident told police that there was a bullet hole in his ceiling; the shot appeared to have come from his upstairs neighbor, police said. Officers also found a bullet fragment on the man's floor.

Officers went to the upstairs apartment to conduct a welfare check. When there was no response, the officers had the apartment's maintenance team open the door, according to the police report.

When they entered the apartment, officers found two unresponsive men suffering from gunshot wounds, authorities said. The officers also said there was "additional signs of a shooting."

Rescue personnel responded to the scene and confirmed that the two men were deceased.

The police department said there were no signs of forced entry at the apartment, and there was no additional property damage or injuries.

Detectives are still working to learn what led to the shooting. Authorities said the shooting was not random, but there is no active threat to the community.

Three different men died of gunshot wounds in eastern Prince William County on Sunday, according to the police department. On Sunday evening, a 52-year-old man was shot and killed in Triangle.
