Early Voting Dates And Locations Set In Prince William County

Prince William County announced when and where residents can participate in early voting for upcoming primaries for state elections.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Early voting dates have been set for the upcoming Democratic primaries in Prince William County. In a news release, the county said early in-person voting would begin on Friday, April 23, and would continue until Saturday, June 5.

The Democratic Party is holding primaries for several statewide office. Prince William County residents can vote in the primary elections for governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general. Republicans in District 51 and Democrats in Districts 2, 31 and 50 will also hold primary elections for the House of Delegates.

The county said that early in-person voting will be available at three locations.

The county also released a schedule for the in-person voting facilities. They will be open from Monday to Friday to start, before opening on Saturdays in May and June. In-person voting will not be available on Memorial Day.

  • Friday, April 23: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Mondays through Fridays from April 26 to May 21: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Monday through Saturday from May 24 to May 29: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday through Saturday from June 1 to June 5: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In the past, the Woodbridge DMV has been used as an in-person early voting site. The DMV will not be used this year, according to the news release.

Officials cited the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and a lack of parking at the DMV as reasons for the change. Instead, voting in Woodbridge will be held at the Ferlazzo Building. More information about the county's election policies can be found on their website.
