Low-Speed Chase Began On I-95, Ended In Stonebridge: Police
A driver led a state police trooper on a chase that began on I-95 and ended in Stonebridge on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A low-speed chase that began on Interstate 95 on Wednesday ended in the Stonebridge shopping center in Woodbridge, Virginia State Police officials said.
Authorities did not report any injuries in connection with the incident.
Virginia State Police have not named the suspect or announced any charges in connection with the chase. A VSP spokesperson noted that the driver, a 40-year-old man, was taken into custody after the chase.

The chase began around 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday near mile marker 156 on northbound I-95. A state trooper said they tried to stop a driver who had an expired license plate.
"The driver refused to stop, exited the interstate and continued to evade the trooper," state police officials said in a report. "A pursuit was initiated."

The fleeing driver maintained speeds of 40 miles per hour as he exited the interstate. Authorities said the driver crashed into a state police vehicle twice and collided with multiple signs in the Wegmans parking lot.
The driver eventually stopped on Potomac Town Place. He was then taken into custody without further incident, police said.
