In a search of Lozada’s residence, the police said they found suspected marijuana, cocaine and a handgun. Lozada has been charged with reckless handling of a firearm, shooting at or within an occupied dwelling, destruction of property, distribution of a schedule I or II narcotic, distribution of marijuana and possession of a firearm with narcotics.
He’s being held without bond in the Prince William-Manassas regional jail, and his court date is pending.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired at the apartment complex at 11:35 p.m. Thursday. They found out that a gunfight had taken place in front of an apartment building in the area, according to a police report.
A suspect identified as Lozada fired multiple rounds towards a suspect in another vehicle as they drove away. The other suspect also reportedly fired towards the accused, the police said, and multiple rounds hit the nearby apartment building.
Officers later found shell casings inside and outside the building, the police report said.
