Police: Armed Robbery As Victim Loaded Car

Officers still looking for one of the suspects, according to Prince William County Police.

A man was robbed at gunpoint in front of a Woodbridge town home on Wednesday night. Police quickly apprehended one of the suspects, but a second suspect has not been located.

Officers responded to a call of a robbery at 8:47 p.m. Wednesday in the 16700 block of Chowning Court in Woodbridge.

The victim told police that he was loading his car when he was approached by two unknown men.

One of the men pulled out a handgun and took the victim’s cell phone before fleeing on foot.

Officers responding to the scene located a man matching the description and determined he was involved in the robbery, according to a PWC release.

Malik Wellington McCoy Adams, 18, of 3077 Pony Ridge Turn in Dumfries, is charged with robbery. He is being held without bond.

A police K9 searched the area. Detectives found the stolen phone, but could not locate the second suspect. He is described as a black male, between 25 and 30 years old, 5’8”, 140lbs with a medium build, dark complexion and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and boots.
