Police: Barroom Assault Leads to Jail

Woodbridge woman, 21, charged with malicious wounding, say Prince Wlliam County police.

A Woodbridge woman landed in jail after she allegedly struck another woman with a beer bottle Saturday night in a local restaurant.

Alexandra Kala Parson, 21, of 2493 Paxton St. in Woodbridge, was charged with malicious wounding and intoxication in public, according to the Prince William County police. She’s being held without bond in the Prince William-Manassas regional jail, and her next date in court is May 21.

Shortly after midnight Saturday, officers responded to Brittany’s Restaurant at 12449 Dillingham Square in Woodbridge to investigate an assault.

The victim, a 35-year-old Woodbridge woman, told police that she was inside the bar area of the establishment when she was approached by Parson and immediately struck in the head with a beer bottle.

Both parties didn’t know each other, and the incident was allegedly unprovoked, police said. Minor injuries were reported.
