Police: Dumfries Woman Stabbed Man During Argument
She's charged with malicious wounding, say Prince William County police.

Prince William County police arrested a Dumfries woman early Monday after she allegedly stabbed a local man in the hand during an argument.

Connie Dean Berryman, 59, of the 16900 block of Monmouth Court, was charged with malicious wounding. As of Tuesday, she was being held without bond in the Prince William-Manassas regional jail, according to a police report, and her next date in court was pending.
At 12:44 a.m. Monday, police officers responded to the report of an assault in the 16900 block of Monmouth Court in Dumfries, the police report said. The victim, a 41-year-old Dumfries man, told police that he and Berryman, an acquaintance, were involved in an argument that escalated.

During the encounter, Berryman retrieved a knife and cut the victim’s hand, the victim told police. The two were eventually separated and the police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported.
