Robert Douglas Cain, 29, of 4510 Canary Court, was arrested on April 16, but the public notice of his arrest was held back for investigative purposes, the police said Wednesday. Cain was charged with the distribution of a scheduled I or II narcotic, and his next date in court is June 19.

From January through April, Cain met with an undercover detective on more than one occasion in Woodbridge, Dumfries and Dale City “to conduct transactions involving illegal narcotics,” according to a police report. As a result, Cain sold the detective “a felony quantity” of ecstasy.
