Police: Man Dies of Injuries From Car Crash
Collision in Triangle results in first fatal accident of the year in Prince William County.

A Woodbridge man died Monday from injuries he sustained last week in a single-car accident in Triangle, according to the Prince William County police.
Marvin Wayne Williams, 56, died at an area hospital, where he was taken following the March 17 collision, making it the first fatal crash of 2015 in the county, police said.

Members of the police department’s Crash Investigation Unit responded at 12:40 p.m. on March 17 to the scene of the accident at Graham Park Drive and Olde Port Lane, a police report stated.

Williams was the driver and only occupant of a 2004 Nissan Maxima that had traveled eastbound on Graham Park Road at a high rate of speed, the report said. The car crossed into oncoming traffic, then left the roadway and struck a telephone pole head-on.
Alcohol and drug use were not factors in the crash, the police report said. Williams not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision.
