Prince William County Coronavirus Update: 867 Cases, 16 Deaths
There are 867 total cases of the new coronavirus in Prince William County as of Tuesday morning.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – There are 867 total cases of the new coronavirus in Prince William County as of Tuesday morning, according to the Virginia Department of Health, with 94 hospitalizations and 16 deaths.
To date, the Prince William Health District has tested 4,101 people and has had two coronavirus outbreaks.
Virginia now has 9,630 total confirmed cases of the coronavirus, with 1,581 hospitalizations and 324 deaths as of Tuesday morning. There have been a total of 148 coronavirus outbreaks across the state. Only West Piedmont and Rappahannock health districts do not have an official coronavirus outbreak.

SCHOOLS
All schools in Virginia are closed through the rest of the academic year for in-person teaching in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
A food service worker who was preparing free meals at Stonewall Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, Prince William County Public School officials announced in an email to parents Monday night. MORE

Inova Health System is seeking recovered patients who could help those continuing to fight COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus. It is part of a nationwide effort to collect and provide convalescent plasma donations, which have antibodies that can be used on the health system's sickest patients. MORE
