Prince William Election Results 2019: Sheriff's Race A Close Call
Voters in Prince William County have made their choices for school board, board of supervisors and more. Patch has unofficial results.

Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story reported that Prince William County sheriff candidate Josh King was the projected winner over Sheriff Glen Hill. According to reports, additional votes were tallied after the Virginia Department of Elections website said all precincts had reported, and current reports are now calling Hill the projected winner.
Prince William County voters headed to the polls today and made their choices on who will represent them in several offices including Virginia House of Delegates, Senate, Prince William County sheriff and school board.
Among projected wins was Prince William County Sheriff Glen Hill, who, according to multiple reports, pulled ahead in the race after he was down in the vote count on election night. Hill was 775 votes ahead of his Democratic challenger Josh King Wednesday afternoon, the Prince William Times reported, and there's no word yet on whether King will concede the race or qualify for a free recount.

Despite Hill's projected win, current vote totals on the Virginia Department of Elections website still show King in the lead by approximately 600 votes. A representative with the Department of Elections was unable to confirm the most current vote total for each candidate.
Hill ran against King, a Fairfax County deputy sheriff, and Rhonda Dickson, a retired member of the Prince William Police Department.
