Authorities have released a composite image of a man wanted for raping a woman outside an apartment building in Woodbridge: PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—Authorities have released a composite image of a man wanted for raping a woman July 25 outside an apartment building in the 12200 block of Stevenson Court in Woodbridge, and Prince William County Police also released a relatively detailed sketch of the man's angel tattoo.

The suspect left with the woman's grey windbreaker jacket after the incident. The tattoo, previously described as one of just angel wings, has unknown writing to the right of the figure on his right forearm. Investigators, with assistance from Fairfax County Police, worked with the victim to develop the electronic composite image.

The woman told police that she returned to the apartment building around 6:05 a.m. and was confronted by an unknown man standing in the enclosed stairwell with a gun. He attempted to sexually assault her, then forced her to the rear of the building and raped her. He then ordered her to walk into a nearby wooded area before fleeing on foot. She told a friend about the incident, and the friend contacted police.
