Sobriety Crackdown Begins in Virginia

Holiday parties? Eggnog nightcaps? Drive sober or get pulled over.

Law enforcement agencies across Virginia are now stepping up sobriety enforcement campaigns, actively searching for and arresting impaired drivers through the holiday season.

If drivers are caught driving impaired, they will be arrested.

Virginia State Police noted in a statement on Facebook, “Nothing can be more devastating than on Christmas day having unwrapped presents, or an empty dinner chair, because a loved one is in jail, in the hospital or the worst case scenario knocking on someone’s door to make a death notification because of impaired driving.”
