Suspect in Attempted Armed Robbery Turns Himself In: Police
The Prince William County police arrested a second suspect in connection with an attempted armed robbery in Woodbridge.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — The Prince William County Police Department arrested a second suspect on Jan. 2 sought in connection with an attempted armed robbery that occured in early December in the 16600 block of Georgetown Road in Woodbridge. The suspect, Michael Charles Talbert Jr., 20, has been charged with attempted robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Talbert, who turned himself into the police last Thursday, is being held in jail without bond. A court date in his case has yet to be set. Another suspect in the case, identified as a 13-year-old male, was taken into custody shortly after the attempted armed robbery without incident. Both Talbert and the juvenile suspect are from Woodbridge.
During the attempted armed robbery on Dec. 5, Talbert allegedly struck a 17-year-old male with a handgun after the victim refused to hand over a pair of shoes to a person who allegedly had reneged on an agreement to purchase them. As Talbert was allegedly assaulting the 17-year-old, his gun went off, allowing the victim to flee the area and report the incident to a police station.
