Suspect in Violent Dispute Turns Herself In

A Woodbridge woman who allegedly pushed another woman down a flight of stairs on Saturday has turned herself in to police.

Kerry Lynn Johnson, 32, of 15529 Wigeon Way, was arrested without incident Monday, according to the Prince William County police. She has been charged with malicious wounding, and is being held without bond in the Prince William-Manassas regional jail. Johnson’s next date in court is on June 8.

At 4:38 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a residence in the 15000 block of Greenmount Drive in Woodbridge to investigate an assault, according to a police report.

They found out that Johnson came to the victim’s home to confront her about an ongoing dispute. During the encounter, Johnson pushed the victim, a 34-year-old woman, down a flight of stairs and then began to assault her, the report said.

The victim suffered minor injuries, and Johnson left the area before police arrived.
