Three Life Sentences in Woodbridge Rape Conviction
Armed man had broken in and assault woman while her children were in the apartment.

A man received three life sentences plus 70 years in the rape of a Woodbridge woman in 2014, according to NBC Washington.
Prince Riesaun Perkins, 33, of no fixed address, attacked the woman while her children were in the home, according to Prince William County Police.
In May 2014, the victim told police that she was asleep in her home when she awoke to find an unknown man in her bedroom. The suspect, armed with a handgun raped the victim and then left the home.

“She has not been able to get over this,” Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul Ebert told NBC Washington. “Maybe, she never will, but I hope she can and this verdict certainly helps that.”
Two children were in the apartment at the time of the incident. They were unharmed, but the victim told police her daughter came into the room.

Police used DNA evidence to help locate Perkins, arresting him weeks after the incident.
