Woodbridge Brothers Killed After Boat Overturns In Potomac

Two brothers from Woodbridge were killed Sunday after their boat overturned on the Potomac River, according to police.

CHARLES COUNTY, MD — Two brothers from Woodbridge, Va., were killed Sunday after their boat overturned on the Potomac River, Maryland Natural Resources Police said. They were identified as Fermin Alvarado, 45, and Matias Alvarado-Arrue, 31.

Police had announced a search for two missing people after their small boat overturned near the mouth of Mattawoman Creek in Charles County at about noon. Their bodies were brought to the medical examiner's office in Baltimore for autopsies.
