Woodbridge Shooting, Robbery Suspects Identified By Police
One suspect in the Woodbridge shooting is already in the Fairfax jail on unrelated charges, but the other two suspects remain at large.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — The Prince William County Police Department identified three suspects Monday in connection with a Dec. 19 shooting in Woodbridge that seriously injured a 33-year-old man. One of the suspects is already being held at the Fairfax jail on unrelated charges, but the other two suspects remain at large.
The two men are wanted for one count of aggravated malicious wounding, two counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony and two counts of armed robbery.
On Dec. 19, Prince William police officers responded to a call about shots fired at 1:43 a.m. in the 4700 block of Pearson Drive. When the officers arrived, they saw the victim in the street, suffering from a gunshot wound and assault wounds. Responding police officers provided immediate first aid to the victim until fire and rescue personnel arrived and the victim was flown to a local hospital.

During their investigation, the police learned that the victim and the acquaintance had just returned to Woodbridge after being at the MGM Grand Casino in Oxon Hill, Maryland. As they exited the car, they were approached by multiple masked men who had just pulled into a driveway behind them.
The three suspects are accused of following the victim and the acquaintance to the Pearson Drive area where they robbed the victims. During the encounter, the victim was shot and seriously injured. The victim who was transported to an area hospital has since recovered and has been released. His acquainance, a 44-year-old man, was not injured.

The police obtained warrants Monday for the arrest of Javontae Renard Smallwood, Tavon Everett Lee Vines and Daquan Artis Tinker. Smallwood is the suspect currently incarcerated at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on unrelated charges. The two other men, Vines and Tinker, remain wanted in connection with the incident.
Vines, 27, of Washington, D.C. is described as a black male, five-feet, nine-inches tall and about 165 pounds. Tinker, 23, of Washington is described as a black male, six-feet, one-inch tall and about 160 pounds.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Fairfax County Police, and investigators with the MGM National Harbor helped the Prince William County police with the investigation into the incident.
