Gig Harbor Strong: Firefighters Compete In Stair Climb For Cancer Research
Gig Harbor Fire and Rescue personnel took part in the annual stair climb at the Columbia Center in Seattle over the weekend.

GIG HARBOR, WA - There are no skyscrapers in Gig Harbor - but if there were, know that your local firefighters would have no trouble rescuing you from one.
A group of Gig Harbor Fire and Rescue personnel competed in the annual Scott Firefighter Stairclimb at the Columbia Center in Seattle in Sunday. The firefighters climbed the building's 69 stories in full firefighting gear to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for blood cancer research.
The Gig Harbor team has raised more than $7,000 this year, and will be accepting donations until the end of March. The team included: Brad Harris, Scott Booth, Kent Cooper, Bren Corcoran, Nick Martin, Steve Nixon, and Patrick Phillips.
