Second Suspect Arrested In Lakewood Woman's Murder

LAKEWOOD, WA — A second murder suspect, wanted in connection with the stabbing death of a Lakewood woman, is now in custody. Lakewood Police said Marcus Williams turned himself in and was apprehended by the South Sound Gang Task Force in Tacoma Friday morning.

Detectives believe Williams is the man seen on surveillance video, stabbing McChord Mart owner In Choe several times, during a robbery on October 14th. The suspected getaway driver, Bonifacio Alvarez Reynolds, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges Wednesday. Police publicly identified both suspects Tuesday.

Court documents filed in the Reynolds case said detectives were able to match DNA swabbed from a barbecue sauce bottle in the store to Williams. Investigators said they also were able to find a photo on social media showing Williams wearing the same, distinct hoodie as the suspect in the surveillance video.
