• Man dead after Lynwood gas station shooting, second Lynnwood murder of the year (lynnwoodtimes.com) — A man died after being shot Sunday night at the Shell gas station at 44th Avenue West and 200th Street Southwest in Lynnwood, and another man connected to the incident is in custody. Police say this is Lynnwood's second homicide of 2026 and are asking anyone with information or eyewitness accounts to email crimetips@lynnwoodwa.gov. 
• Lynnwood crime drops in 2025, but aggravated assaults and sex offenses rise (lynnwoodtimes.com) — Lynnwood's overall crime rate fell in 2025, but aggravated assaults and several categories of sex offenses rose even as murders dropped to zero that year. Police Chief Cole Langdon and Councilmember David Parshall credit consistent staffing and emphasize ongoing hiring, while noting calls for service are still climbing and two homicides have already occurred in 2026.
