• Mead School District on the hook for another $1.4 million in attorney's fees in hazing lawsuit payout (spokesman.com) — Mead residents should know the school district now owes an additional $1.4 million in attorney fees tied to the 2023 Mead High School football hazing case, on top of a $17 million jury award. The money will come from the district's insurer, while officials say they've expanded anti-hazing training, clarified reporting procedures, and revamped an online system for reporting harassment and bullying.
